"Pokemon Go needs more Stardust"

#PokemonGO: Hear me out;Current stardust accumulation rate is painfully slow, particularly when releases come in batches. The legendary batch release has hit stardust hard as people power-up ideal mons to battle them, and then power up the legendaries themselves.Alongside this, gen III is presumably coming out within the next 6 months - another huge influx of Pokemon that people want to power up.Finally, we have the huge disparity between candy and stardust which is further widening with the introduction of rare candies.I really think Pokemon Go would benefit from an increased stardust accumulation rate or just removing it from the game entirely.My reason being is that currently stardust is exclusively reserved for the best of the best, meaning that people tend to just power up the meta mons and leave everything else. The game would be so much more interesting in terms of variety if you could power up with candies alone.Less powerful pokemon that are more common, or just personal favourites might be more widespread as people get max murkrows, butterfrees, whatever - because they no-longer have to worry about stardust reserves.At the same time, more powerful mons don't proliferate much quicker than they currently do, because candy is still required for powering up which means walking, catching or using rare candy.I think the current state of stardust is only helping to stagnate the same pool of Pokemon that people use, and will only get worse as more gens are released.Discuss. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2u0AGld
