"The real nerf is reduced Golden Razzberries"

#PokemonGO: TLDR: The reduced drop rate of golden razzberries is going to make catching legendaries harderAlthough the data hasn't formally been collected - it's pretty obvious by now that both rare candies and golden razzberry drops have been nerfed since raid rewards started including potions. Reducing the drop rate of rare candies seems reasonable, since it's supposed to be "rare". I think the bigger nerf is the lack of golden razzberries. Since the changes yesterday, golden razzberries have only been trickling out. I'm now using golden razzberries much faster than I'm replacing them.At the beginning of the week I had so many golden razzberries that I was using them for gym feeding and to catch Pidgeots. Since yesterday, I've only been using them for legendary catches, and I'm still going through my supply fast. There's already someone in our raid group who is out of golden razzberries, and by next week I think I'll have joined them.This is going to change the way we approach catching legendaries:It may not be possible to use a golden razzberry with every throw against raid bossesWe may need to decide to only use golden razzberries against high IV bosses (or if you don't already have it in your Pokedex.)We may need to do non-legendary raids specifically for farming golden razzberries to use against legendaries.People will either need to do less legendary raids, spend more on raid passes, or try to catch legendaries at a greatly reduced catch rateEDIT: Just did some back of the envelope calculations. If you're getting say 9-10 premier balls per legendary raid, then the expected drop rate of golden razzberries has gone from ~7 -> ~3Before 16th August: 8 bundles * 0.29 * 3 = 7After 16th August: 6 bundles * 0.18 * 3 = 3.2 (Assuming an even distribution of potions, revives, rare candies and goldens)Once we work through our stockpiles we will need to budget 3 golden razzberries on average per legendary raid via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2wlBbGA
