"Why Niantics execution for legendaries was brilliant...for them financially."

#PokemonGO: Honestly I hadn't put much thought into it myself until a few days ago when I participated in a few raid battles. My girlfriend and I drove 45 minutes to a nearby town that had a decent amount of players, and upon arrival got a group together and went off raiding. We used our free pass on a lugia raid with no luck, then the group all insisted on everyone going to do articuno next. My girlfriend whom had said she wouldn't spend money on the game, had just bought a raid pass to help and not feel excluded. Then it hit me, every raid thereafter Niantic was basically making $20, $1 per person doesn't make the individual really think about it. Match that with a low catch rate and people will feel obligated to keep trying or help the group out. The reason Pokemon Go isn't rural friendly is because we aren't the target audience to profit off of. I don't forsee this changing as long as the money keeps rolling in. Nor will Niantic give 2 craps about how much noise we make because well, they don't care. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2w2G0C7
