"A Unique Idea for Quests"

#PokemonGO: DISCLAIMER: I know I said "unique" but I did absolutely zero searching to see if it actually was.So I've seen the idea of quests brought up often and I've also seen a lot of disagreement. My idea is both individual and group quests.An example of an individual quest would be you get a notification that says something along the lines of"Team Rocket has been stealing Slowpoke for their tails! Catch 15 Slowpoke to save them."(In reference to the Slowpoke tails in Gen 2)Rewards would work similar to raids, the more Pokémon you have to catch per quest (the higher the difficulty) the more items / more rare items you receive.Now I know some people dislike the idea of "catch X-amount of Pokémon today" quest ideas, but that's only one. There could be many more individual quest types like "Walk X-amount of km" and you receive a pair of shoes that aren't in the shop; or something along those lines.Now my group quests idea isn't like a group you would get for a raid, it's more like all of us as a group - regardless of team.So you would get a notification one Friday that says something along the lines of"Team Rocket has taken over gyms in the area, see if you can take them back!"So Team Rocket, whose team would use the color black in gyms, would take over a few gyms in each area and would have six strong, high CP & IV Pokémon in them.Taking down each Pokémon would give you double or triple the XP you would get for taking out a Pokémon from a Mystic / Valor / Instinct gym.I see this helping the game in a few ways.1) Add some variety to the gameplay and give us more to do.2) Help knock people out of gyms in areas where there isn't a large amount of activity.3) Team Rocket would cause nostalgia which is clearly a driving factor in getting more people to play (the original rollout, and legendaries brought people in and back just from remembering those characters from the past.)So these are all just ideas I had when I woke up this morning, hope y'all enjoy 'em and we can give Niantic some good ideas they can implement; or inspire them to follow through with more of their own ideas! via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2wphxH2
