#PokemonGO: OK, having pored over these boards and other forums, the criteria for eligibility for an EX Raid pass is taking shape:You need to defeat a raid boss at Gym XIdeally Gym X will be in a major US or Japanese cityAnd sponsored (ahem!)Gym X will then need to be selected by Niantic as an EX Raid GymYou will need to have raided it within the 25 days prior to that to be considered (Note:1)Your name will then go into the RNG ‘hat’ and – if you are lucky – you will receive an invitation to an EX Raid at Gym X (Note: 2)You’ve then got to hope that you are available to raid Gym X within the allotted timeAnd you’ve got to pray that enough people show up at the same time as you, to give you a fighting chance of defeating MewtwoAnd then you’ve got a baseline 6% chance of catching the thingShould you fail, you are again a hostage to the above.Note:1 Anecdotal report of someone receiving EX Raid pass today for a gym they raided on 19th AugustNote: 2 I raided a Sprint store gym on 29th August, one that will now be the venue for an EX Raid. Another two people raided same gym on same day and got EX Raid invitations. I didn’t. So not everyone gets selected, even if you have defeated a Raid Boss at an eligible gym within the appropriate time period.Disclaimer: Yes, I know we’re still technically in the test period, so the above parameters are likely to change.
