"[Idea] Let Buddies Actively Help Trainers"

#PokemonGO: This idea is from my 8 year old son. He thinks Niantic should make buddies visible when they walk alongside you. He also suggested that buddies could run ahead of you / behind you - (in a defined radius depending on buddy) - and 'sniff out / find' rare pokemon that don't show up on your radar. Perhaps they could even find special items (or treasure) during events. What do we think?
