"PROOF: Gym Badges capped at 1000 and DELETES your first badges"
#PokemonGO: Just got back from my trip to Portland and was going to make a post about this but luckily someone else did it first. I took a screenshot after hitting 1000:http://ift.tt/2iYTWur as you can see a few days later took another screenshot where my badges from California started to DECREASE every time I got a new badge in Portland:http://ift.tt/2eC12Qs haven't gotten around to finding the gyms I lost to see if it at least kept my bronze/silver status intact but I seriously don't want to jeopardize my current badges by getting the "new" ones I lost... so I guess its time to avoid clicking on gyms unless I'm certain I already have the badge for it...EDIT: My home gym badges are all intact - I only noticed this near the end of my trip since I took a screenshot at 1000 and then only checked again when I was leaving Portland. I think the "recent" badges list will keep pushing up the last gyms you visit so the home gym badges will never get erased - there is one gym I know I'm missing that I had a bronze medal for because it was my first bronze medal so if I do visit that area again I can confirm for everyone if it does delete it or just takes if off the list - either way this is very discouraging since at one point the gyms I visited while traveling will just get knocked off the list when i travel to other places...EDIT 2: So they're definitely deleted off the list since I know some of the gyms I had bronze badges for are completely gone when i sort under Points - whether the points are saved or not is another question that I don't think I'll be able to answer anytime soon since I don't think I'll be around that area until closer to Christmas (it was a large outlet mall an hour away and the new gym system went live as my family was shopping there). For those saying 1000 is not obtainable except for the 1% I doubt I play anywhere close to the top 10% of players out there but I loved collecting gym badges and got almost all 1000 just around Los Angeles county (35 in San Diego during Comic Con, 20 in Las Vegas, but the rest of the 878 were around my area) and I probably only have 1/4 of the gyms from Los Angeles County (I have none from the Westside or as many of you know it from Mystic7 the Santa Monica area and none from the Long Beach area that Trainer Tips frequents, both of which have the highest density of gyms in Los Angeles County). I can imagine people from NYC or SF with a more condensed population have it even better as I was able to get 50+ from downtown Portland just by walking for half a day. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2gIj8oa
