"WARNING: Evolutionary Stone Pokémon in Gold/Silver"

EDIT: Wrote info on Sun/Moon stones.EDIT 2: Looks like a lot of people in the comments have pointed out using Time Capsule to evolve these Pokémon; that does work yes, but not everyone has two systems or the VC release for RBY. I was lucky enough to get Yellow on my old 3DS, so I'll be fine, but not everyone can do that. Those planning on getting the Gold/Silver VC release, remember that the main four evolutionary stones (Water/Fire/Thunder/Leaf) can only be obtained in the post game, and you can only get one of them in the entire game. The only other way to get these stones were through Mystery Gift, which I'm sure won't work anymore. Here's a list of Pokémon affected by this:Poliwhirl -> Poliwrath (Water Stone)Shellder -> Cloyster (Water Stone)Staryu -> Starmie (Water Stone)Eevee -> Vaporeon (Water Stone)Vulpix -> Ninetales (Fire Stone)Growlithe -> Arcanine (Fire Stone)Eevee -> Flareon (Fire Stone)Pikachu -> Raichu (Thunderstone)Eevee -> Jolteon (Thunderstone)Gloom -> Vileplume (Leaf Stone)Weepinbell -> Victreebel (Leaf Stone)Exeggcute -> Exeggutor (Leaf Stone)This does not apply to Moon or Sun Stones; the former can be obtained in many different ways (Tohjo Falls, Mom buys them with money, Mt. Moon Square on Mondays), whereas the latter can be obtained from the Bug-Catching Contest, making them both available infinitely.I hope everyone enjoys the release! via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2wKr4HP
