"What is the reason for a Gym changing to a Pokestop?"
#PokemonGO: Has anyone knowledge about why gyms can change to pokestops? Our town has about 4k inhabitants and had 1 gym and 4 stops for the longest time. A couple of month ago 1 new stop was added to the town and an existing one changed to our 2nd gym.About 5 weeks ago we started a local group with 3 people, and managed to get 13/15 known local players into it, kids and a granny included. A friendly bunch that battled each other for over a year, not knowing each other. :)So the last 4 weeks we could finally fight local raids of all kinds and suddenly rural play didnt feel all too bad anymore, combined with those gold medals for extra items.Yesterday we got all hyped up, because we had that "This Gym is closed for an Exclusive Raid."-message at our gym, in the same time frame as another tsr redditor posted yesterday(http://ift.tt/2eTFQWd).This gym didn't have a single raid today and was switching teams twice after it was accessible again about 24 hours ago. About 1 hour ago that same gym changed to a pokestop.Needless to say that our little town group is pretty devastated. Is that all coincidence? Anyone else experienced something similar? Thanks in advance!EDIT: It seems that either the owner of the property has gotten the gym removed for no apparant reasonOR some gyms were in some kind of test("Gym closed for EX raid"-msg) and low traffic ones got changed to stops, maybe in anticipation of mewtwo?!? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2xZUhjg
