"Why are Normal-type Gyms so difficult?"

This is just something that dawned on me recently. I've heard plenty of people complain about Whitney's miltank and it was a normal type gym. I don't hear much talk about Norman, but the fact that his ace is a Slaking, a pokémon with the same BST as Groudon and Kyogre, indicates to me that he was supposed to be difficult, despite truant. And the hardest gym leaders in Unova were both normal type, Lenora and Cheren. Each took me four tries to attempt, and the fact the hardest pokémon in one was a Watchog and the other was the first gym of the game makes it that more insulting. It's an interesting trend, anyone else notice this? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2iUhjFz
