"Why is Pokemon Go so much worse at loading stops/gyms when it's been in the background a little while compared to Ingress?"

#PokemonGO: I've played Ingress for years now and one thing that I can't understand is why portals will almost always show up instantaneously when opening the app but pokestops and gyms do not. Even if portals don't show up there's a force sync button under options which will make them appear, yet in Pokemon I'll open the game and it'll take upwards of a minute at worst before stuff loads if I'm stationary. Nothing short of moving can make stops and gyms load it seems. Why is Pokemon so much worse at loading stuff compared to an older game? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2wBgrr0
