"I can confirm that the maximum speed limit has been increased for the Go Plus/Gotcha in update 0.77.1!"

#PokemonGO: Tonight I was driving down a local expressway at at least 70km/h (maximum of 80km/h) and my gotcha was catching Pokemon and spinning Pokestops without any issues which allowed me to focus on the road better and not having to worry about whether or not my gotcha is still catching/spinning (Just to put this out there for the record, I do not condone nor do I play while operating a motor vehicle, this was done specifically for testing purposes using a hands-free accessory.). There hasn't been a single time where my gotcha made an extended vibrations indicating that a Pokestop or Pokemon was out of range. I was very impressed because prior to this update, my gotcha would constantly miss Pokemon and Pokestops at those speeds and I'm glad that the Go Plus and Gotcha are even better now for hands-free grinding (bikers and drivers rejoice!). I do not know what the new maximum speed limit is but its definitely above 80km/h. My best catch while testing the increased speed limit was a 613 CP Sudowoodo. Thanks Niantic for increasing the speed limit on the Go Plus! :D Edit:Devices used during this test:Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 7.0Gotcha Edit 2:I feel like a gotcha would be much better in this situation due it's auto catching/spinning feature and the speed at which you may be travelling. With the Go Plus, by the time it recognizes and alerts you of a nearby Pokestop or Pokemon, you'd be well out of range. This is one of reasons I decided to purchase the gotcha instead. It will start catching/spinning as soon as it recognizes a nearby Pokemon or Pokestop. If you plan to also test the increased speed limit, I think the gotcha would yield the most accurate results. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2yG9tGo
