"Will Gen 3 bring an end to Gen 1 or just decrease the amount of Pokemon spawns?"

#PokemonGO: Will having Gen 1, 2 and now 3 being released soon will having three gens out at once be crazy especially in cities were there are a ton of spawns already.Normally in the video game series when a new gen gets released they get rid of the older one. Of course this is Pokemon Go so they can literally have other gen Pokemon mixed in with other gens. This brings up my question at which point does gen 1 end? Will it ever end or will the spawns just decrease each time a new gen is released?
