"New Item Drop Rate from Gym and Pokestop"

#PokemonGO: Recently, there was a change in drop rate from 3 to 2 items from pokestop for certain players, and the issues has since been resolved.I also posted a change in potion and revive drop rate from pokestop and gym for me, and while some players reported to have the same issue, some do not. But, this also has somewhat change in the past couple of weeks. As recent as last week though, some of the local players here reported that item drops from pokestop and gym are now different. With gym giving more potions and revives compare to pokestopThis was also noticeable by me, so in order to confirm this quantitatively, I gather few data just to see the percentage of this new changes.Data gather from 1 account only. During and after Halloween event. Gym data here is from mostly gold gym with my team in it. Pokestop spun 127, gym spun 44.The data is small, but I hope the more player out there can contribute to the analysis later in the future. For simplification, I will combine different type of berries, balls, potions and revives.Data from GymItemTotalPercentageBerries7017%Balls16340%Potions12631%Revives5012%Data from PokestopItemTotalPercentageBerries17224%Balls51171%Potions304%Revives41%As you can see, HUGE different in item drop from pokestop and gym. While gym give slightly better balance of item drop, but pokestop gave 71% of balls and only 4% for potions and 1% for revives. While this changes is good for me due to balance number of pokestop and gym, I wonder how will it affect other players. Also, with all this changes here and there, I feel like Niantic is still testing out and trying to get good balance of item drop.Tell me what are your thoughts. Do you think this is good? Will it affect your gameplay? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2yfWsQ4
