"Solo'd Omastar with no duplicate attackers"

#PokemonGO: Despite being a Lv39 trainer, I'm relatively new to the solo'ing tier 3 raid scene. After hearing how difficult Omastar was to beat, I was pleasantly surprised to beat it on my first try. The Omastar's moveset was Mud Shot + Ancient Power, and my phone is iPhone 6s. My team was as follows:PokemonMovesetLevelIVs (Atk, Def, Stamina)ExeggutorBullet Seed + Solarbeam3714, 15, 15VenusaurVine Whip + Petal Blizzard37.514, 15, 14VictreebelRazor Leaf + Solarbeam37.514, 14, 14RaikouThundershock + Wild Charge3913, 15, 15MachampCounter + Dynamicpunch37.513, 15, 14ZapdosCharge Beam + Thunderbolt3915, 15, 15The Omastar was defeated with 10 seconds left on the clock with Machamp being on red health (Zapdos was never brought out). I suppose the largest take-away here is that multiple grass-types are absolutely mandatory, and that a team of more optimized grass-types at a lower level should be able to win with ease. Once I got to Victreebel, I started to dodge Ancient Powers after learning their fairly easy-to-read dodge time (right before the rocks are actually thrown), as landing as many charge grass moves was vital. I hope this helps/encourages anyone out there. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2zMKiQk
