"USUM: Dad Theory (Early game spoilers)"

So, we know that the protagonist knows their dad in USUM (or at least knows his car) but as with most games, he is nowhere to be found, or is he? My theory is that our “dad” has been right in front of us in both SM and USUM - Meowth.There have been memes for both sets of games joking about the PC’s mom’s relationship with Meowth, he sleeps in her bed instead of the cat bed, etc. When you come home from the festival, you walk in on your mom saying “Honey, I’m home!” To Meowth. This could just be a joke about Mom’s close relationship with Meowth, but what if Meowth is, in fact, a Ditto that semi-permanently has shifted into Meowth form?We learn in USUM that Ditto can transform into human form, and Ditto can breed with any Pokémon because of their transformation ability. So if Ditto/Meowth used to live as a human and had a relationship with Mom, it’s conceivable that the PC was, well, conceived.Further proof: the protagonist’s blank stare in both sets of games, like that of a Ditto when it can’t transform correctly.(Note: I just started and haven’t looked up any spoilers, so sorry if dad’s identity is actually revealed later haha) via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2iwPKPM
