"Your collection is full!"
#PokemonGO: I know there has been a lot of discussion already about the theoretical reasons why we need an increased storage cap (mathematically calculating the number of different forms, genders, realistic multiples of meta Pokémon, etc.) but I haven't seen an actual breakdown of someone's storage who is near the cap. I decided to make a spreadsheet of my actual box and list the exact reason for keeping each of my Pokémon to try and get a sense of how much storage we should really have. Surprisingly, I have a lot of Pokémon that aren't kept for the reasons that most SilphRoaders give in favor of an increased storage limit. Though as a collector, there isn't a single Pokémon I have that I really want to get rid of either.Link to spreadsheet:http://ift.tt/2zCNrRG notes:*I'm a semi-rural L39 player.*Based on my preferences, I think that with Gen 3 on the horizon I would need at least 1600 spaces to accommodate everything I want.*I realize the distinction between "Legacy" and "Novelty", can be subjective, but I thought it important to include both.*I do indeed have a lot of event Pikachu, and copies of Legendary Dogs I will probably never power up.*I keep a lot of Pokémon that aren't useful because they mean a lot to me, though I recognize most other people wouldn't care.*Even if I got rid of almost all of the Pikachu and Dogs I still wouldn't have that much free space.Ending thoughts:I see the point people make against having increased storage, because I do have a lot of useless Pokémon. At the same time, those useless Pokémon are what makes the game fun for me. So overall I think the whole argument for/against increased storage based on the theoretical (genders, forms, etc.) isn't the most realistic because it fails to account for all the other reasons people may keep a Pokémon.I'm hopeful that if others create a spreadsheet too we can determine as a community what a 'realistic' storage limit should be.Thanks!EDIT: I have added a straw poll to see what the community thinks a realistic limit would be, based on their own personal collecting preferences.http://ift.tt/2ne9xIB via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2AjqoNh
