"[Discussion] The reason Alolan Rattata was given Dark type"

For those that do not know, Hawaii once had (still has?) a rodent problem. In order to reduce the rodent population, mongoose (Gumshoos) were brought to Hawaii to kill off the population.One thing that the people didn't account for was that the mongoose (Gumshoo) hunted in the day time while the rats (rattata) hunted at night. Because of this mistake Hawaii now has 2 invasive rodent problems.Giving Alolan Rattata dark type wasn't coincident, it's how rats evolved in Hawaii with the threat of mongoose during the day time.Even Gumshoo's pokedex entry for Ultra Sun has a bit mentioning this.
