"Why can’t male characters have a messenger bag as a backpack?"

#PokemonGO: I really love the way the character customization is evolving to include event clothing and clothing unlocked from badges. However, I can’t help but wondering why male characters don’t have access to a messenger bag. I use a messenger bag for classes and when I’m out playing Pokémon Go, so I feel like it would be a neat little thing to have and Im hoping I’m not the only person.
