"How Niantic collects cellular activity to create spawns?"

#PokemonGO: We know that Niantic use OSM to decide "where" to place spawns. But the density of those spawn is decided using "cellular usage in that area".. or, at least, this is what i read here on the road.Do anyone have an idea on how to check this data? I don't think Niantic contacted carriers all over the world to get this data.. so.. there must be something else, but i really cannot figure what. Some old thread says they use data generated from Android phones in 2013-2014, since Niantic was part of google and back in the time could get this kind of data.. but if this is the case this data cannot be updated or be reliable in areas with majority of iOS devices..Any idea? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2I1VHjg
