"Wanted to voice my appreciation that the majority of the research encounters reward Pokemon difficult to find at high latitudes."

#PokemonGO: There's so many Pokemon which basically never spawn normally outside of the desert biome, of which there's very few large ones in the UK for example. I only know of a small, low spawn density one in my city. I'll name every major example, which also happens to be the majority of research rewards:Tangela: Doesn't nest, extremely rare.Torchic: Nests, nest pretty much required. Haven't seen one even in a desert biome outside of events.Doduo: I've seen extremely few outside of nests.Quilava, Typhlosion: Desert biome or nest.Pinsir: Literally never seen a non-nest spawn.Houndour: Never seen a non-nest/non-event spawn.Onix: I've seen extremely few outside of nests.Charmeleon, Charmander: Desert biome or nest. There's lesser examples like magcargo, larvitar and ekans, but I've seen a reasonable amount of these thanks to large mountain biomes and weather boost, and of course there's also raids for Tyranitar. Of course a lot of these Pokemon hatch from eggs too (which are unreliable and always changing, Doduo doesn't hatch anymore for example) and I can't speak for everybody. I only have my city and areas around it for reference. But thank you, Niantic! It felt like a lot of past raids like Piloswine and Jynx were terrible for serious players where I live, most of which have several good Piloswine or Jynx if they can be bothered to put up with their low catch rate, but it's reassuring to see some of our most difficult wild catches becoming easier to acquire.TL;DR: Research encounters reward a lot of hard-to-catch Pokemon for players in places such as the UK. I'm thankful for this. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2Er0qYn
