"Community Day Tip for CalcyIV users: Clear your history before the event"

#PokemonGO: CalcyIV has an extremely useful feature: Pressing the button before catching a Pokemon scans its CP and gives you possible IV percentages for different levels. This is basically a more flexible, more convenient version of the Charmander Charts that have been going around.CalcyIV used to scan Pokemon basically instantly for me. But over several months, it took longer and longer until, during Mareep Day, it was taking several seconds per scan. Normally, this was slightly annoying, but during such a short event, this was a serious problem. On a hunch, I checked my history and it turned out I had more than ten thousand saved Pokemon. Deleting them all brought me back to less than half a second per scan. So, if CalcyIV is taking longer to scan IVs than you remember, try clearing its history (Menu->History->Trash can in lower left). If you don't want to get rid of those entries permanently, you can export them to a CSV file (Options->Export/Backup->Export History to CSV), delete your history, and import them once the event is over.(Apologies if this is common knowledge and I'm just ignorant, but a reminder can't hurt.) via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2wSYn0M
