"New NYC meganest?"

#PokemonGO: Hypothesis: part of New York City the geographic mass of Long Island (Kings, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk Counties) has been retagged and is now a meganest. You may recall that, since the Earth Day event, NY trainers have been kvetching about being up to our necks in Nidoran-M. The good news is that we are no longer up to our necks in Nidoran-M. The less good news is that there are now suddenly a whole bunch of Barboach popping up in areas that virtually never spawn Barboach, let alone in non-clear/non-rainy weather (current weather status where I am, for example, is windy).First we need data points. My experience over the last two weeks has been that Brooklyn and Queens were affected, but Manhattan was not, or at least is not affected as of today. This leads me to believe that the issue has to do with the geographic landmass of Long Island, which includes Brooklyn and Queens, as well as Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Can fellow travelers from NY confirm or refute my hypothesis with their own experiences and data? Now that we have Brooklyn and LI reports, are there any data points from the Bronx or Staten Island?{edit to reflect more accurate area} via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2w758eV
