"Power up Pokemon by Battle Experience Idea"
#PokemonGO: Let me get the obligatory "You just want more free stuff complaint" out of the way...No, I played Pokemon Red/Blue on Gameboy. You didn't power up a pokemon by catching other pokemon (Dust). I also watched the cartoons, Pickachu didn't level up by Ash catching other pokemon, it powered up from fighting with Ash. I am talking an alternative way of powering up pokemon. In many ways I enjoy pokemon combat (Gyms/Raids) more than pokemon catching. Yet the basic question: Why does the person who catches more, have stronger pokemon to battle with then the person who battles more?In short, I'd like that more traditional, and arguably more realistic way to power up pokemon to be used in PMG somehow. Hence my ideas.Ideas: 1) Every Pokemon has a hidden battle's won number. When you go to power up a pokemon, those battles are counted as 100 star dust each and you get a pop up "Would you like to use X of your battle wins in place of stardust"Let's say a level 29 Pokemon. You'd need 5000 dust. When you hit the powerup, that Pokemon has won 125 battles. The window pops up, battles won # drops by 50. And that pokemon is now level 30 with 75 battles won. They could make battles won a visible info on pokemon too.2) If there is no way to modify battle won data, you could instead offer power up discounts based on battles won. Say 2 times battle won is reduced from every dust power up. So a pokemon that has won you 700 battles will be 1400 less dust to power up each time.3) I'm not really sure what to do with Raid Battles other than leave the dust as a higher amount OR make a raid battle worth 5*Level worth of battles if you go with Idea 1/2 via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2Iywlw5
