"Tapping to use one fast TM resulted in use of two fast TMs"

#PokemonGO: I just tried to TM away bullet punch on a Machamp. I very carefully tapped the TM, selected the Machamp, and acknowledged via the pop-up dialog that it would forget bullet punch. The game seized up for a while, and I was very careful not to tap my screen again, but after a moment, I got a dialog saying that Machamp learned bullet punch and my heart sank. Sure enough, it used up two fast TMs to revert Machamp back to the same move.I was on wifi at the time, at home, and about 30 feet from my wireless router.I've contacted Niantic support, but of course they get a lot of reports so I doubt they'll undo this error for me. It is quite devastating. I have owned five fast TMs ever, including the one from the Mew quest, and these were my last two. I am a very active player, but I play solo so TMs are extremely difficult to acquire. If the past is any indication, I will probably not see another one for months.
