"Can we stop complaining about a “PokeCoins shortage”?"
#PokemonGO: The thing everyone must understand is that PokeCoins are this game’s form of premium currency. Anyone who has ever played a free mobile game knows that they always feature in-app purchases, usually in the form of premium currency like this to make their gameplay easier (or other things like no advertisements, etc.).Typically in a free mobile game, the developer gives you absolutely no way to earn premium currency beyond the initial amount they give you by teaching the game’s mechanics, and maybe a bit more for completing goals in-game. The fact that Niantic allows players to earn currency at all should be commended in the first place. The game never harasses players with advertisements either, nor are there any in-game prompts to buy coins. In fact, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the Shop just to even see the in-app purchases. However, lately I’ve been noticing more posts about more ways to get PokeCoins in-game. While I admit, the way they’re earned now is a little nonsensical, I think that should be changed first before we implement extra ways to earn coins. We have to remember that the coins are Niantic’s way of earning revenue considering there are no other in-app purchases. If it weren’t for these, we wouldn’t get nearly as many updates and events as we do now, and content would come to a screeching halt. The only thing that should change in my opinion, is the current method of acquiring coins. Introducing several ways to earn coins would make the game even easier and hurt the game’s content flow.EDIT 1: added a few sentences. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2A5Jpq1
