"[discussion] BIG thank you to Niantic for implementing 2 new methods of obtaining Pokeballs, Revives, and Potions this summer through research and gifts"

#PokemonGO: I think everyone from avid level 40s to the casual player has to be more pleased with their item storage of late. I have heard far less complaints about revive shortages or lack of Pokeballs. It is a solid workaround by Niantic as they face the challenges of implementing a POI submission system.A couple notes...if anyone submitted to this subreddit 6 months ago they would like to see 2 new ways of obtaining items they would have been downvoted to oblivion because "Niantic wants you to spend money". I think Niantic implementing these new features shows they're not as short sighted as that. Both gifts and research give incentive to play more, and by players playing more they'll get more revenue. Give a little back and get a lot more in return. And hey, it seems to be working. I hope people here take note of that.Next, I hope they start incentivizing daily coins better. It's been an issue for a year now just overshadowed by the still poor EX system and game crippling bugs. Still, it's bad. There should be a 1 to 1 correlation between the amount of effort I put in the game on a daily basis (if that's how they choose to distribute coins) and the amount of coins I get. There shouldn't be a dependance on how long my Pokemon camps in a gym. There is an issue if I take down a gym of maxed, meta defenders in 10 minutes, it gets knocked out right away, and I get nothing. Compare this to a dead gym that takes 2 seconds, and it stays rotting for 8 hours 20 minutes, and I get a complete reward. Reward me effort! So, more effort means more engagement which means a happier, more invested player base which means more money spent on coins. Just like how the research and gifts have played out. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2mDqhWK
