"[Discussion] [RANT] There's currently some sort of movement/boycott against Niantic in my area; people are giving 1-star reviews and refusing to play PoGo because of the spoofers being rightfully banned. How entitled can people be?"

#PokemonGO: The area where I play, La Plata, (and by extension, all Buenos Aires, Argentina), is basically spoofer's heaven. A majority of the people here use programs to spoof their gps location. Every single relevant raid group/server is made for/by these "flys" as we call them, and mostly regard "legals" as less prioritized players.Since Niantic's hard attack agains these "flys", the local raiding groups have been a nonstop salty shitstorm. From people complaining, to asking where to get the latest spoofing app, to celebrating being "lucky" enough to not get banned.Yesterday they announced an attack against Niantic: they are refusing to even open the game, and they're sending 1-star reviews en masse on the Play Store. What baffles me the most, is how they attemp to justify their blatant cheating."If they didn't want us to fly, why would they make regionals?""Grinding for rare pokemon candy takes way too long the legit way.""Oh, and YOU don't cheat when you figure out your Pokemon's IVs?""My friend can't go out as easily as I because he's handicapped, so he is not allowed to play the game at all?""We give Niantic the most cash, they need us."Just, how can a person think they are doing the right thing by downright cheating in a game for months, getting banned, and then ACTUALLY being mad at Niantic? The saddest part is, they are adults, yet they act like spoiled children. Maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't care as much if they just dedicated themselves to just play while spoofing and remain silent about it.But they don't do just that. They'll proudly announce a victory for their team when they claim a gym from their home. They'll think themselves as the best of the best while announcing they've spoofed their way to an event in Japan and caught all kind of rare pokemon from the commodity of their bathroom. Now that their fun is close to being over, they're actually throwing a temper tantrum. They just can't accept the fact they're being rightfully banned for cheating.Sorry for the wall of text, I needed vent off somewhere. If I actually try to say anything like this in the local groups, they wouldn't let me play in peace anymore. Not to mention some lunatic would actually hunt for me irl. Pokemon Go is serious business for some people here.TL;DR: local players are mad at Niantic for enforcing their rules. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2mBSMnL
