"The best part about colosseum and XD..."

So I see constantly fans asking for a new rendition of the Colosseum series, but generally the reasoning is they like the more mature themes of Colosseum, or they loved the cinematic battles, or they loved the shadow Pokemon concept. While all these things are great features of the games, I think the best part of these games that gets neglected is that it's all double battles. In my opinion, double battles is the absolute best way to enjoy Pokemon. I love playing VGC, and in general I just love the strategy and variety that exist in double battles. I feel gamefreak neglects double battles big time in the main story of their games. Sure the doubles meta is pretty well balanced, but why do double battles have to be relegated to competitive play?
