"Always short on Potions? Try X Pokemon."

#PokemonGO: Wanted to share something I started doing recently which I believe could help you as well to no longer be chronically short on potions and revives. When you evolve a Pokemon for the sake of XP (not as an investment) and it is of a decent CP...dont transfer it yet. Instead, name it "x" (or as youd prefer, but i like x cus no Pokemon names start with that letter and thus it's easy to group all my x pokemon) and put that baby to use fighting a gym! Whip up a team of 6 x Pokemon (as I call them) and throw them at a gym first to begin your assault. Then transfer them afterward. As a common example, you might be impressed at the work a team of six CP 1200ish weepingbells can do in the current meta. It ain't gonna be pretty. It ain't gonna be comprehensive. Maybe they won't even take the gym, but as a front line assault squad, they'll reduce motivation at least so your beefy 2600 Machamp can donkey punch the gym into submission after--and most importantly of all here, you won't have to use as many potions and revives to take that gym, cuz the x Pokemon who faint were kamikazes from the start. You can also avoid the common issue of having to revive and potion up your epic snorlax when you habitually add him in the gym after taking it. Dont bother! Let snorlax relax. Just throw an x Pokemon in there! Your team will understand, especially if they've read this reddit post (lol). Then transfer the rodent after it has earned you coins.Keep in mind, the alternative to what i am suggesting is simply to transfer these miscellaneous Pokemon as soon as they're evolved and earn literally nothing from that evolution besides XP. I might be suggesting more logistical effort, but in the end, you are still transferring that Pokemon regardless, and the "x Pokemon" method requires zero resource input besides the candy you've already spent to evolve them.Thats all! Hope to see more CP 1300 raticates out there XDTl;dr--Give the same generic name (such as "x") to all the miscellanious Pokemon you evolve, and use them to attack and defend gyms. Reduce them to 0 HP before finally transferring them. This saves you tons of potions and revives and costs nothing extra. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2Dyocqm
