"The Arcanine I've been working on since Day 1"

#PokemonGO: I started playing Pokemon Go the day it went live. I stopped after a few months and would have random times where I would pick it up again sporadically. I recently picked it back up again sometime before the psychic event. I'm just a baby Valor player of level 26 with no shinies and very little knowledge beyond catching Pokemon, gym battles, and low level raids. I only recently discovered what appraising Pokemon even meant.My very first night playing Pokemon Go, I saw a Growlith pop up as a nearby Pokemon. I tracked him down and caught him in an apartment complex along with a Squirtle. Both were chilling out poolside. I vowed to get enough candies to get an Arcanine. Unfortunately, Growliths don't really seem to show up a lot where I live, so it was a very slow crawl. (And as I said, I would only sporadically play.)Well, the other day I finally caught the last Growlith I needed and upgraded him to an Arcanine. I was already content with that, but since I had discovered appraising, I appraised him yesterday and..he's perfect. :) Amazing in general with high attack, defense, and HP. It made me so happy knowing that a Pokemon I had been trying to get since the beginning actually had such awesome stats. It was definitely worth the wait. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2NZIg4G
