#PokemonGO: While I was at my EX raid (and Mewtow) today I heard people saying things like "My shiny Metagross was also picked in the recommended". This got me thinking and paying attention to my recommended team for both raids and gym battles.I noticed that less Aggrons will be picked as recommenced Pokémon for teams.Both of them are part steel types.The steel weakness will play more of a role than the rock/psychic weakness (other than vs dark/ghost attackers)Both of them are bulky (what the recommended picker likes).Metagross can have a higher CP (more likely to get picked?)Both (can) have steel charge moves (so if it is a tie).On top all that the fact that the casual players (the ones using recommend teams/Aggron) might not know much about IVs but will see a high CP Beldum and want to evolve that into Metagross. The CP of that resulting Metagross will most likely be higher than most Aggrons so the game should pick that Metagross over Aggron.Unfortunately, while fighting the legendary birds, Aggron's rock charge move will probably get it selected a lot. :(TL;DR: The recommended team will pick Metagross instead of Aggrons.
