"Game is crashing every 15 minutes"

#PokemonGO: I play on an iPhone 6s plus with the latest version of iOS. Over the past few days, Pogo has started crashing every 15 minutes or so. There's no one thing that causes it, I'll just be right in the middle of something and the app closes. It opens again quickly, but then about 15 or 30 minutes later, it closes again. Is this happening to anyone else? I know that I should probably try reinstalling the app, but I have all of my battle party teams set up and was hoping I wouldn't have to set them up again (for the hundredth time!).
