"The delta episode was Nintendo's answer to the rumors about going into space from the original gen 3"

I came to this realization recently. The rumor went something like "wait for X launches at the Mossdeep space center/beat the elite four Y times and they'll send you into space, where you can fight and capture Deoxys."Of course, in the original gen 3, that's all it was, a rumor. But it spread like wildfire, more than any other pokemon rumor. It was that generation's equivalent of Mew under the truck, and Nintendo made it a reality! For me, when I realized that, it felt like a part of my childhood was fulfilled with something I thought would never actually happen!How about the rest of you?
