"Deoxys Attack Forme Counters and Use in the Meta [GamePress]"

#PokemonGO: Link to ArticleNormal Forme is out, Weird Forme is in, and things are looking good! Unlike the Normal Forme, Deoxys Attack Forme actually has some use in the meta (both raid and PvP). Also unlike the Normal Forme, Deoxys Attack Forme can be solo’d. I prepped this content a few days ago so I included a “Tier 5” and “Tier 6” cut off line for DPS needed to solo on the graph, and it looks like John Hanke gave us Tier 5, which is wild because that enables a ton of Pokemon to be able to solo. The “Tier 6” line may come in handy should Deoxys-A ever escape EX Raids and populate the normal Tier 5 pool for a while like Mewtwo did. Or maybe it’ll keep “Tier 5” then, only time will tell.For the meta use, in raids, things are as they were predicted before: Deoxys-A is a powerful Glass Cannon. It has the highest attack stat in the game, towering 114 points above the diminutive Mewtwo, and has Dark Pulse, what more could you ask for? Probably a sandwich Maybe some extra bulk. 46 base defense is one of the lowest defense stats in the game. Coupled with pretty average HP, Deoxys-A will go down fast. Perhaps too fast for some players. All in all, if you already have powered up Shadow Ball Mewtwo, Gengar, and Tyranitar there isn’t much need to add Deoxys-A to your squad unless you like variety.In PvP, Deoxys-A may not have the bulk to last long, or even to survive an onslaught of Fast Moves, but Psycho Boost has a pretty low energy cost and Poison Jab has decent energy gains; therefore, if Deoxys-A can launch its charge move before its opponent can and they can’t/don’t shield, it’ll likely KO it. This gimmick only works well in the Great League, as many of Deoxys-A’s targets can outbulk the damage in Ultra and Masters.
