"Comparing anecdotal reports, shiny Feebas rates were roughly tripled in the USA and South America compared to Europe"
#PokemonGO: Counting and comparing the reports in the Feebas day shiny rate threads for Europe and the Americas (only counting exact data points and trying to eliminate Europeans posting in the US thread and vice versa) I ended up with:Europe: 188 Shinies out of 8238 encounters (2,28%, or 1 in ~44)US/South America: 337 Shinies out of 4921 encounters (6,85%, or 1 in 14-15)This is by far no comprehensive research (anectodal data and so forth) and I hope there's gonna be a thorough Silph Road study for this, but until someone can provide better data I think it's safe to assume the Niantic heavily boosted the Shiny Feebas rate for the USA and South America compared to Europe by up to 300%.[Also as a very anecdotal side note: Some European friends cleared their last Feebas researches during the US event hours and finally scored their Shiny. Might be that the rates are boosted worldwide during the respective event hours. So any Europeans who got some uncleared Feebas research tasks left should probably try to claim them during Asian-Pacific event hours. But this definately needs further research] via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2syqGN2
