"It would be nice if you at least could trade from anywhere with best friends"
#PokemonGO: When trading went live, I really liked it and traded much with my brother. But soon we realized that somehow playing with other people and trading don't go hand in hand that well and by now I hardly trade at all.The trading process takes up around 30 seconds at least and that is when the trading partners instantly 'find' each other (by that I mean the waiting screen that brings you to the Pokémon selection screen) which fails to do so for us every bunch of traded, know what they want to trade and accepting from both sides is registered quickly. While trading, you can play by Ball+/Gotcha at most. No raiding, no gymming and (what's important to many players around where I play) no shiny checking.Possible trade Pokémon take up space and more often than not get transferred anyways because I hoard more stuff than I trade away if I happen to trade with someone in first placeSince you have to be next to the person, you have to meet up to actually not play the game. While this is fine as a sub activity (for example while sitting in a café or drinking a coke at McD after hours of playing), it really bothers me in generalI can't count how often I was sitting at the PC and thought 'what if I could trade in the meantime?' which is impossible unless my friend is sitting next to me - and I don't wanna be busy with other stuff while my friend is visiting me.. Thus I really would like it if at least best friends could trade with each other similar to how Ultra friends and up can battle each other from anywhere. Now I know that this may lead to people selling Pokémon on eBay and adding each other in order to trade 3 months (or more) later, but there are other ways already and where I play many people have multiple accounts already just so they have better chances at hunting for shinies, legendaries, rare Pokémon, high IV ones etc. which is surely not what trading should encourage. Maybe I am handling this thought too loose, but after all the way trading is implemented (completely random IV reroll, high stardust costs for special trades and low friendship players) really discourages the growth of a market and I don't see an impact so big it outweighs the positive aspects of legitimate distance trading. Or if it really is too risky, add bestestestest friends after 180 days and use that as a cutoff for distance trading - I really wouldn't mind as long as I could trade from home while I don't want to actively play PoGO (gymming, raiding, ...)Oh and while we're at it, lower the trade animation duration by just a few seconds if possible, it really adds up (but I know this is not Niantic's suggestion box)What do you think? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2FM4HtJ
