"One year ago: I caught a level 1 Ursuring as a joke. Today, I collect these low leveled Pokemon as a hobby."

#PokemonGO: Hey all! Long time lurker, very infrequent poster/commenter. This month is the 1 year anniversary of my Level 1 collection in PoGo. Originally, it was a funny joke, when I posted to my local group that I there was a Ursuring on the radar. I get to the location, only to find a tiny lass of a Ursuring at 36 CP, or the lowest possible level in PoGo: Level 1.0. I burst out laughing. What was this scrawny girl gonna do? Absolutely nothing. She was worthless. Her IVs were bad, and she would cost way too much to power up to a point where I could at least use her to fight gyms when they were weak. But, I never transferred her. In fact, I showed her off to everyone, just for the laughs. Later on, I found her a couple of friends. A 27 CP Ariados, and a 27 CP Noctowl. At that point, I grew an addiction. I wanted to find the most intimidating evolutions at their lowest levels of power.Fast forward a few months: Squirtle Community Day. Everyone is out having a grand time, hunting and sharing their shiny catches. Afterwards, I got a message from one of the people in the group: they found a level 1 shiny Squirtle. I swapped him one of my own for it, and from that day onward I added shinies to the Level 1 hunt.Now, here I am today, known to the local players as "The Level 1 Guy". My collection has grown immensely, to the point where it is nearly as big as my primary 'Dex collection. I don't have them all yet, but I will someday. I even have a bunch in preparation for when I have the resources to evolve them, such as the new Sinnoh evolutions. I collect the shiny babies when I can, but I don't actively hunt for them at level 1.Thanks for reading!
