"Idea: Fossil-Pokemon Event along with the Release of Fossils (Items)"

#PokemonGO: If I remember correctly, there was a combined Rock- and Fossil-Pokemon event a (long) while back, but with seven Fossil-Pokemon evolutionary lines being available at the moment, I feel like a new, Fossil exclusive event would be a good idea. Such an event could (possibly) have the following benefits/features:With increased spawns, more people would get their hands on Cranidos and Shieldon, as between their general rarity and their spawns being constantly blocked by various events, they might as well be non-existent at the moment and it would hardly make any differenceOmanite's, Kabuto's and Aerodactyl's shiny variants were released a long time ago and so far we haven't gotten any new shiny variants of Fossil Pokemon - this would be a perfect opportunity for shiny Lileep and shiny Anorith to make their debutPeople who still don't have a shiny Omanite, Kabuto and/or Aerodactyl would be presented with a great opportunity to change this - and how about a slight increase in odds for those three to further incentivize this whole event?Armaldo could receive a major buff if X-Scissor was added to its movepool - it's honestly shocking that he still doesn't any Bug-Type charge movesOmastar's legacy moves Rock Throw and Rock Slide could be made available again, at least for the duration of the eventKabutops could be given some STAB quick moves, as he - surprisingly - lacks any at the moment (correction, it does actually have Waterfall, thank you, u/Dreadnought8055 for pointing this out!)Aerodactyl's current movepool is in a critical condition - this could be changed in the context of the event to make many Aerodactyl fans happyThe usual boni: doubled candies, stardust, expFurthermore, this would be the perfect time to make the game a little more interesting by adding Fossils (items) along with related mechanics:Helix, Dome, Old, Root, Claw, Skull and Armor Fossils would now be available to be picked up from Pokestops (very rare, but increased odds during the event) and in trainer battles if a Fossil-Pokemon is used (somewhat more common, but max. one per day)Players would be required to spend 50 candies per Fossil to recover the PokemonPokemon recovered from Fossils would have a drastically increased chance of being shiny and having better IVsHaving a Ground-Type Pokemon as their buddy would give players a chance to additionally have it pick up a Fossil every time it picks up a candyTL;DR: idea for a new Fossil-Pokemon event with increased spawns, new shinies, changes in movepools and the introduction of Fossil items@edit: If you've downvoted this, please explain why in the comments. Otherwise it doesn't help me see what I did wrong ... via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2F2jzn5
