"Legendary lunch time feedback"

#PokemonGO: Overall it was a nice event, with a lot of gyms to fight Dialga, with the bonus of having Windy weather in most of the city.Nevertheless, I leave some thoughts on points where there can be improvements, based on my analysis and the feedback I got from other players:- Schedule: maybe in the US 12 to 13 is in fact lunch hour, but in Western Europe people usually don't go to lunch before 13, so the "not so hardcore" players were not participating, as they were working / in classes. The event ended when they were ready to join (eventually some left work some minutes earlier and were able to do one or two raids). It is my feeling, from the feedback gathered, that an event from 13 to 14 would have bigger participation, at least from an Western Europe point of view.- Overlap: today is Ex-Raid day and there were a lot of players with raids before or right after the event, so they were limited where/how they could do this event. Unless this becomes a daily event, it would be a nice idea to make sure it doesn't occur on the same day of Ex-Raids.- Timing: I personally was expecting to see much more players around (and I believe Niantic too), but the fact is that, after two weeks, most players is already not that interested in raiding Dialga. Also, having Rayquaza weekend around, players are saving their premium passes for the weekend. So, I believe Niantic will not see the numbers they would expect when analyzing this event participation. However, if Niantic really wants to know the potential of this kind of event, just try it with Rayquaza this weekend or in the day they release a new Legendary Boss.- Periodicity: it's not clear to anyone if this was a "one time only" experiment, which will be available randomly in the future or if this is something to happen with some fixed/specific periodicity (every Wednesday, second Wednesday of the month, every 13,...). That would be nice to know, so players can better manage their gaming strategies (whether it is to get as many pokemons as possible, gold a specific area of gyms, grind XP/stardust/candies/golden berries,...). via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2VWlaAm
