"Opinion: while the new additions to moves awesome, making th completely unviable for raids and gyms seems to just hurt more then help"
#PokemonGO: Recently, there have been 3 new moves added to the game master; power up punch, leaf tornado and acid spray. 1 of which is live now (Power up punch) and the other 2 live tonight. These moves are (or will) be great for PVP, however there is one part that seems to be part of a worrying trend: all of them are hot garbage when compared to others moves that are all ready in the movepool:Acid spray is quite possibly the worse PVE charge move- 20 power on a 50 energy charge (fyi you can do way more damage in its duration with quick moves)Leaf tornado is unfortunate due to the fact that leaf blade exists on both its users. 45 power on a 2 bar is very small.Power up punch is just considerably less dps than close combat, let alone dynamic punch. With that in mind, all these moves do to non pvp players is hurt their experience more than help, costing them more in charge TMs and/or stardust to get past the inflated movepool as Niantic has put moves that hinder a Pokemon's potential. This artificially increases the time and investment to get an optimal movesets, due to how scarce charge TMs are even to frequent raiders (personal note- 1 single charge tm in the past 20 t5 raids, small amount to go by but gives some insight). This can be avoided by just balancing the moves to be similar in strength damage/duration time to comparable moves- and not low power high duration to the extent of acid spray being a quick move in a charge move slottl;dr: While making fantastic and interesting pvp moves Niantic has inadvertently created a grindier experience for players who prefer gyms and raids by making these moves underpowered to the extent that quick moves and older charge moves are far superior. They need a buff.Quick edit for formattingmore info edit: https://ift.tt/2TOZA4q dps on acid spray.... except the 2 0 power quick moves, everything is better. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2FmYHHf
