"Severe Burnout. Normal? Like, Feeling Sick Physically When thinking About Po Go?"

#PokemonGO: ____ _----------------------------UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who confirmed my thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it is difficult to articulate feelings so it was nice having a place to sort of rant and get out what I was thinking. I deleted the app from my phone and am going to wait until at least the middle of April before I THINK about reinstalling it. I don't feel bad about this decision at all and I thank you all for helping me see how silly I was being about a phone app game. I really did enjoy the game for a long, long time but the last few weeks made it feel like a burden and I don't want that in my life. Thanks againI am sure psychologists would have a field day with this but I am 100% burned out on this game. I have played daily since the day it came out but the last few days, I couldn't even open the game without feeling a sense of sckness and dread. I had the opportunity to go to my 2nd Dioxys Ex Raid (I was off work and literally around the corner from the Gym at the time of the Raid) and I just couldn't do it. I felt sick to my stomach to even open the app.I am not sure what exactly did this to me or why but it was when I got my Monday KM walking reward I walk a LOT weekly and have gotten the 50K "prize" and then walked and stuff to hatch another electric sheep. It may have just snapped something in my brain. I was not really expecting anything great but it was just one more disappointment, I guess. I guess I hit my exhaustion point and the game just seemed completely pointless and sickening. I haven't checked in since Monday afternoon.I am debating on hitting the raid group tomorrow morning to try to catch a Rayquyaza (which I have fought but never caught). Part of me doesn't want to miss it but part of me feels like it just does not matter. Is this feeling normal? Should I just uninstall it for a few weeks and then check back and reinstall or did I ruin the game for myself with playing it consistently for 2+ years ?Any other consistent players feel this way and then go back to playing or is it just ruined for me forever? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2O819o2
