"XP-based progression past level 40"
#PokemonGO: To those of you downvotingWhat do you disagree with? What do you not like about it? Please comment, I promise I wont get butthurt/hostile lmao. I want all of the negative feedback as well so I can know what I may have missed or what may be flawed so that I can fix/tweak it! I want to make this system the very best, like no one ever was (I am so sorry) and get people talking about a new major progression system to help seriously revitalize end-game gameplay!========== ========== ==========Instead of adding new levels, what do you guys think about possibly adding a sort of "prestige" system? I'm pretty tired and don't want to waste a load of time properly wording everything, so I'll just put my points in bullets lol. This would avoid ridiculous amounts of XP needed to level up past 40, as well as reengage players when going back through early levels. This would create a way to re-catch Pokemon from special research.Alongside being level 40 to "prestige," the amount of times you've completed every special research must also match your "prestige level." This not only makes completing each special research a prerequisite, but also still allows new research to be added. Although, if "prestiged" you would have to complete new special research multiple times, but get the special Pokemon multiple times too while catching it up to your "prestige level."This also allows further XP-based progression without creating a larger CP gap between low and high level players. This creates a very, very easy way to add a lot more content, although artificial. Slapping on 5 or 10 "prestiges" also doesn't change the meta much at all.The biggest difference in fights would be to have more dice rolls on stats of Pokemon from special research, as well as a *little* extra candy."Prestige level' requirements on new clothing or other aesthetics?I believe this covers all of the major points. There are also a few things I'm on the fence about, but want to throw out there.Should max level of Pokemon in the wild still be limited to level? What about "power up" cap? I guess this depends if Niantic wants any negative attributes to keep people at level 40 for longer periods of time before continuing.Any non-aesthetic perks? One thing that comes to mind is maybe, after each reset, you can add one to the catch bonus of a type of your choosing? (As in the rewards from catching a type a lot. Also a respec item can be added in shop). Maybe a small damage bonus?I wanted to bounce this off of all of y'all and see whatcha think. I think this would be better than raising the level cap and would make XP meaningful again! via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2CzxGyP
