"Bagon event went off without a hitch in rural Scotland. My son caught a whole bunch!"

#PokemonGO: Seen a lot of complaints going around so here's some good news.We live in a rural village in Scotland. It has a spot at the park with a Gym and 3 poke stops. This was my kids first event day and he was super excited. We start off by taking the gym and beating our first level 3 as a 2 player. So, we were pretty pumped up and ready for some Salamence action.2nd Bagon my son encounters is a shiny. He screams with excitement and I'm so happy for him. He forgoes a pinap for a razz to make sure he gets it and does... Then he catches another, and another, and another. By this stage I think I'm never seeing one but his luck is on point.By the end of the day he had 9 shiny Bagon to my measley 3. We are both the proud owners of 6 Salamence between us, a shiny each and 2 ordinaries. One of mine almost broke my first 3k CP!Anyway, thought I'd post some good news for the day. Hopefully you are able to get on and play where you are and don't get too bogged down by lag etc.Happy hunting! via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2Z9objp
