"This game needs an episodic storyline."

#PokemonGO: With all the complaints around the game recently, most boil down to we don't have much to do. Niantic could change this completely by introducing an episodic storyline using special research. We need something to add a sense of progression in the game and niantic could do this by linking all the special research together. Whether it's every month or every quarter we could have willow telling us about team rocket's schemes, escalating to a finale (say 10 raids). The research along the way could be 'team rocket have been catching barboach in masses we nerd to find out why" and expand from there.Personally I reached 40 last month and I feel like I have nothing to do since. Pvp didn't really scratch the itch for long, trading is nice but hasn't changed the game. I need a reason to play now. Thoughts?
