"[Complaint] Niantics needs to stop making shinies the feature of a event."

#PokemonGO: There has been a lot of discussion circulating the low shiny rate during the Bug event since the release of shiny Scyther. Some thinks that the chance of getting a shiny Scyther is way too low. Some thinks that shinies are supposed to be rare.To me, I think the main problem is that shinies should not be the main feature of a event. Shinies are supposed to be rare, but they are supposed to be a bonus rather than the main feature. I am totally fine with the 1/450 rate. But if they want to make it a feature for a event, it means that players should be able to get one if they play enough during the event. For this Bug event, the focus really is "to get a shiny Scyther". They could have released the remaining Gen 4 bug pokemons, or boosted the spawn rate of released Gen 4 bugs (not through T1 or T2 raids) or given an exclusive move to top bugs, but they didn't. They just boosted the spawn rates of a few old Gen 1-3 pokemons (most of them are already very common in normal days) and released a shiny version of another. This is inexcusably lazy and really not enough to engage players.Pure shiny hunting is already a tedious process, but to make things worse, the spawn rate of Scyther is not high enough, grinding is almost impossible. When most players return home after an entire week of playing but still without the shiny, it is really not cool. When it happens events after events, players will lose interest. Soon, everyone ends up not bothered anymore.Personally, I am not bothered with this event, because I know even if I go hardcore mode to grind for shiny Scyther, I probably won't get one, and there is little return in catching the other bugs, as most of them are not even slightly meta-relevant and have been around forever.Just my thoughts, any discussion is welcomed. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2D4PFgG
