"GO Fest Chicago Question"

#PokemonGO: So, as of the posting of this article, I have signed up for the drawing, but have not gotten picked, and thus I don’t have tickets yet. However, I will be in Chicago during GO Fest even if I don’t get tickets. I know that there are altered spawns around the world during an event like this, and I also know that the rare spawns can only be seen with the QR code that comes with a ticket. So, I suppose my real question is: Are the spawns in Chicago outside GO Fest any different from the rest around the world?
