"Shinies persist when event spawns change"

#PokemonGO: Some information about how shiny chances are run in game, based on a Pokémon changing after an event. There's a regular spawn point I can reach from my house. Spawns about 42/43 minutes past the hour for the standard 30 minutes. The 8:42 spawn was a Mareep. My son got it shiny, but didn't catch it at the time (he had spare from comm day and this was for science...). At 9 when the Eggstravaganza ended, the mareep disappears (like all event spawns) and switches to a Larvitar. The Larvitar was shiny. While it's a single observation, either he was ridiculously lucky on the Larvitar (like 1/450) or shiny chances persist by spawn location+time, not the specific Pokémon.Anyone else tried this and spotted the same or different behaviour? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2DuwVqV
