"Countering the Lake Trio and their use in the Meta [GamePress]"
#PokemonGO: Link to articleThe Lake Guardians are here and they’re ready to fight. While it’s no secret that you’ll want to use the same Pokemon that you use to beat down literally any other Psychic-type in the game, there are subtle differences in each of the Guardian’s stats which have big implications on the most optimal picks and your ability to duo/trio the raid. For example, you can likely duo Azelf with your eyes closed where with Mesprit you’ll need the elusive foggy weather to duo. For Uxie, duoing isn’t even an option, and if your line up is lacking you may not even trio it. There are also instances in which Attack Forme Deoxys and Lick Gengar can achieve “lead slot specific” peak damage, which the bonus ball hungry side of this sub may want to be aware of. At the base the fights aren’t too complicated, but there’s a lot little big things going on behind the scenes. For their meta-viability, Azelf and Mesprit aren’t all too exciting for PvE or PvP content (unless you’re into Pokedraft or something). Uxie on the other hand is a natural pick for both the great league and ultra league. While this may spark some controversy in the arena, Uxie doesn’t carry quite enough weight to get upset over, but it would be nice to see all three of these Pokemon get a global release through research rewards, spawns, or a future event raid weekend/day/lunch/dinner/breakfast/4th meal or whatever.TL;DRGiratina-O is the bossTyranitar is the grandpa bossDeoxys-A has peak DPS swag vs AzelfLick Gengar has peak DPS swag vs MespritUxie may time you out but its ok because Uxie is actually useful in PvPAzelf is a Team Valor Pokemon despite being blueTrust meCan you guess which teams the other Pokemon are “on”?Also deep lore on Giratina Formes because why not? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2V6yDou
