"Problems Initiating PVP Battles?"

#PokemonGO: [Note: I posted this in The Silph Arena subreddit and it was suggested that I repost it here for visibility. http://bit.ly/2H4eSdv ]In the last day or so, I have had a lot of problems getting my invitation to battle to show up on my opponent’s screen, and visa versa. We had a non-cup event today and each match, about half of all matches took 5-10 minutes to sort out how to even start them (restarting app and getting the invite when the game started back up seemed to work best).Anyone else having significant issues recently? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2H4RkW2
